About Bushnell Golf

Bushnell has made high-performance sports optics for more than 65 years, and Bushnell Golf describes itself as the number-one rangefinder in golf, saying its rangefinders are trusted by 98.4% of PGA Tour pros. It developed the first combined laser and GPS device (the Hybrid) and, in 2017, the Pro X2 rangefinder with Slope-Switch technology. The Launch Pro brings that brand into launch monitors, powered by the same software as Foresight Sports’ monitors.

Bushnell Launch Monitors

Model Where it works Data Best for (per Bushnell) Price
Launch Pro (Circle B Edition) Indoor and outdoor Club and ball Full simulator plus range use $2,999.99
Launch Pro Indoor / LPi (Circle B Edition) Indoor only Club and ball Home simulator setups $1,999.99

Launch Pro

The Launch Pro uses three proprietary high-speed, high-resolution cameras with infrared in an auto-calibrating system. Bushnell contrasts this with radar units that sit behind the golfer and calculate impact: the Launch Pro photographs the ball at impact instead. Bushnell says users and reviewers report reliable, consistent readings on the course and at the range, including in lighting that affects other units. The current Circle B Edition has a new look with the same technology.

Ball data: carry distance, ball speed, total spin, vertical launch angle, horizontal launch angle, spin tilt axis, back spin and side spin.

Club data: club head speed, smash factor, club path (in/out) and angle of attack. Club data needs a software subscription and the included club markers.

Launch Pro Indoor (LPi)

The Launch Pro i is designed only for indoor simulation and uses a pay-as-you-go software model. Bushnell calls it its most affordable simulation experience, with the same three-camera, infrared measurement as the Launch Pro. At the time of writing, Bushnell’s product page showed “Notify Me When Available”, so check stock before planning around it.

Software and Subscription Costs

Bushnell’s launch monitors run on Foresight+, one membership that covers Foresight Premier (simulation software for a PC) and the Foresight app on your phone.

Plan Price What it means on a Bushnell unit
Free $0 Ball data, core data views, 10 sessions of history
Silver $199 a year Adds club data on Bushnell devices, unlimited history, dispersion views and drills
Gold $599 a year Adds swing video, more drills and third-party software (such as GSPro, sold separately)

Every new device includes a 30-day trial of Foresight+ and a Course Pass, and you choose your plan when the trial ends. Course Passes need a Silver or Gold membership. Memberships are billed annually.

Rangefinder link

With Foresight Sports, Bushnell offers LINK-Enabled technology: your launch monitor yardages feed a personalised club recommendation into a Pro X3+ or Pro X3+ LINK rangefinder through the MyBag feature in the BushnellGolf.com app. The rangefinder is sold separately.

Is Bushnell Right for You?

From what Bushnell publishes, the Launch Pro suits golfers who want camera-measured ball data at home and at the range, and who are happy to add a Foresight+ plan for club data and course play. The LPi suits indoor-only simulators on a tighter budget, if it’s in stock. Because Bushnell and Foresight share software, our Foresight Sports guide covers the software in more depth.
