About Rapsodo
Rapsodo builds technology that lets athletes measure their practice in golf, baseball and softball. It describes its start as one athlete’s idea to improve his own game, growing from a founder-led start-up into a team of more than 100 athlete-engineers. In baseball, Rapsodo says its players range from teenagers to stars such as Shohei Ohtani.

MLM2XPRO
Rapsodo calls the MLM2XPRO its fastest, most advanced launch monitor and golf simulator yet. Doppler radar and dual cameras give 15 performance metrics, including measured spin rate and spin axis (with RPT balls), and measured club path and angle of attack. Other features:
- Speed: “2X faster shot to show”, with data shown the moment you swing.
- Easier setup: an upgraded adjustable tripod, LED alignment guidance, and a display that helps with levelling, tilt and battery life.
- Putting: putting-enabled simulation on all 30,000+ Rapsodo courses (with Core).
- Video: swing replay and 240 fps impact vision (with Core).
- One ecosystem: the Rapsodo Golf mobile app, PC app, Rapsodo Courses, Rapsodo Studios and R-Cloud.
- In the box: four sleeves of Titleist 2025 Pro V1 RPT balls (12 balls). Rapsodo was also offering a free dozen RPT balls when we checked.
- Trial: 21 days of Core, plus three 18-hole rounds each at Bethpage Black and Magenta Shores on Rapsodo Studios, played during the trial.
- Cover: one-year limited warranty; 30-day money-back guarantee on Rapsodo.com purchases; free shipping to the contiguous US and Canada.
MLM2PRO
The MLM2PRO uses two cameras plus Doppler radar to give video feedback and 15 metrics, eight of them measured, including spin rate, spin axis, angle of attack and club path. Rapsodo developed its RPT (Rapsodo Precision Technology) golf balls for the MLM2PRO’s Impact Vision camera, which recognises the RPT print pattern and captures images at 240 fps to measure spin. You can pair the MLM2PRO with any Apple or Android phone or tablet to record extra swing angles.
In the box: the MLM2PRO, tripod, charging cable, quick start guide, a three-ball sleeve (Callaway Chrome Tour or Titleist Pro V1) and a 45-day free trial of Premium. A Chrome Soft bundle sells for $729.99, and certified refurbished units cost $399.99. Rapsodo was also adding TheStack swing speed trainer free for a limited time when we checked.
MLM1
The MLM1 pairs Doppler radar with your iPhone or iPad camera for instant video replay and a shot tracer. It gives 10 metrics, four measured: carry, total distance, launch angle, launch direction, side carry, smash factor, club speed and ball speed. Rapsodo says it is accurate to within 2% of Trackman for these. It assumes sea level and a premium ball (no wind, slope or elevation), so range balls or high altitude may read short. It doesn’t work with whiffle or foam balls and needs good lighting at the ball and along its flight.

Is Rapsodo Right for You?
From Rapsodo’s own specifications, its launch monitors suit golfers who want radar and video at a low price, inside or at the range. Spin is measured only with RPT balls, and courses and many features need a yearly membership, so add that to the cost.
